I was honoured to judge at the premier northern show in my adopted county. On the day the
weather was a little cooler than earlier in the week but that said I was relieved for the dogs'
sakes that judging was concluded soon after midday.

I was pleased with the entry of around 60 which is about par for most shows in England this
year. The overall quality and type was varied but the entry included many youngsters who
still need time and so I feel it would be harsh to be too critical.  I do however believe there to be
more shapely, balanced and sound exhibits than there were some 10-15 years ago.
