BOURNEMOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW 13th August 2017

Thank you to the Bournemouth Committee for inviting me to judge our wonderful breed at their
championship show your hospitality was second to none and at last the sun was shining .  Also
a huge thank you to everyone who supported me and allowing me to judge your dogs where I found
many  quality exhibits.

Minor Puppy Dog or Bitch  (1 entry, 1 absent)

Puppy Dog  (1 entry)
1st  Bridges' Kernow Troubadour.
A lovely example of the breed, full of quality. Plenty of bone for
size. Masculine head with dark almond shaped eye, strong muzzle and good dentition. Well angulated
shoulders and good turn of stifle .  Moved out well.  Best Puppy Dog.

Junior Dog  (4, 1)
1st  Miles' Jaybiem Stan Innovation.
Good example of the breed. Super masculine head, dark
eye and correct dentition . Broad in body, firm level topline, stands four square on strong boned legs.
Rounded rump and correct turn of stifle.  Moved out well.
2nd  King & Bramble's Shirdees Leathal Weapon.  Handsome male strong in head and had the
lovely soft Bernese expression I look for.  Needs plenty of time to fill in his frame but it's all there.
3rd Wells' Bernfold Bard Benedick.

Yearling Dog  (3)
1st Baldwin's Meadowpark First Class For Fortonpark.
Aptly named he is. A lovely example of
the breed with so much going for him. Stood four square on well boned legs, correct angulation
throughout which showed in his easy gait.  Perhaps a little proud of his tail but otherwise a very
handsome male who is knocking on the door.
2nd Wright & Kirk's Arvella Mark Of Respect For Roesilbern.  A large dog who needs plenty of
time to fill his frame.  Strong masculine head, good reach of neck but a tad upright in shoulder
and front pasterns.  Lovely temperament.

Post Graduate Dog  (2, 1)
1st Bridges' Deerpark Travelling Man V Kernow.
Just two years. Finer in head compared with
previous exhibits and sadly was not in the best of coats .  Needs to tighten in front movement
although on the side gait moved out well.

Limit Dog  (1)
1st Rothery's. Glamrock Graffiti Artist.
Stood alone but a worthy winner.  Strong
masculine head good stop and slight furrow correct dentition.  Mature body and
strong bone. Would prefer more rear angulation and on the day he was not easy on
the move.

Open Dog  (6, 2)
1st Hartley-Mair and Dybdall's Ch Meadowpark High Class.
This upstanding male of just two
and a half has certainly got the wow factor. Super masculine head, dark eye, correct dentition.
Fantastic bone on this high class specimen of the breed. Balanced and well angulated throughout
which showed in his easy free movement.  Thank you for bringing him and was pleased to see him
take Group 4 in a very strong group.  Dog CC and Best of Breed, G4.
2nd Green's Alpenspirit Pure Pleasure For Arvella (Imp). Another fine example of the breed.
Handsome head with a lovely soft expression.  Good reach of neck which was lacking in a few
exhibits today.  Level topline and good front and rear angulation.  In full jacket and deserved the
Reserve Dog CC today.
3rd Rumble's Bernfold Donner By Glenbrienz.

Puppy Bitch  (5, 2)
1st  Bird & Head's Cullumbern Roman Toga With Millermead.
Just eleven months old and a
lovely type. Would prefer her to be a little bigger but she is well put together and moves very well.
Pleased to see her being awarded Group 4 in the Puppy Group.
2nd Flanagan's Collansues Precious Rock.   Another lovely baby slightly longer cast than 1st
but well angulated and moved out well.  Will mature along the right lines.

Junior Bitch  (3)
1st King & Bramble's Shirdees Miss Congeniality.
I liked this young lady. Good bred type, enough
bone for size and well put together. Could be a tad shorter in the loin and leaving her jacket at home
accentuated this. Plenty of time on her side to reach the big time.
2nd Mutter's Xaria The One And Only  Seventeen months and sadly left her coat behind today
Enough bone for size. Feminine in head and a kind eye.  Well angulated in rear and moved well.
3rd Flanagan's Collansues Something Magic.

Yearling Bitch (3, 1)
1st Baldwin 's Fortonpark Chasing Dreams.
Super bitch of good breed type. Stood on strong legs
with a lovely turn of stifle .  Beautiful feminine head, dark almond shaped eye and correct dentition.
Good reach of neck leading into well laid shoulders.  Kept her topline on the move. Worthy winner of
the Bitch CC.
2nd Flanagan's Collansues Something Rosie.
Another lovely girl of good breed type. Lovely
feminine head. Well put together but sadly left her coat behind today.

Post Graduate Bitch  (3, 1)
1st Collansues Sugar And Spice.
Lovely young lady whose tail never stopped wagging which is good
to see. Strong but feminine head, good dentition. Well angulated which showed in her movement.
2nd Bridges' Kernow All My Loving.  Lovely type in full coat but would prefer more reach of neck.
Feminine in head with a kind expression.  Moved okay.

Limit Bitch  (7, 2)
1st Baldwin's Fortonpark Lilly's Delight.
Just two years and oozed breed type.  Strong but
feminine head, soft expression.  Stood four square on well boned legs.  Would prefer slightly more
turn of stifle.  Moved well.
2nd Flanagan's Collansues Mountain Angel. Another lovely bitch of good breed type.  Strong but
feminine head, dark markings. Compact, fit body and in full jacket, moved well.
3rd Miles' Save Dallas Kiss For Jaybiem.

Open Bitch (3, 1)
1st Sutton's Ch Bernsteph Dior Remember Me JW ShCM.
A lovely bitch in full jacket today. Strong
but feminine head, good dentition, good facial markings. Well angulated and moved out well. Reserve
Bitch CC.
2nd Flanagan's Collansues Rosebud
. Liked this bitch, good type and moved out well. Very attentive
to her handler but wasn't keen on the tractor revving his engine which unsettled her. Lovely feminine
head with kind expression.

Veteran Bitch  (1)
1st Wood's Tamarbern Dusky Maiden.
Eight years young fit for purpose. Feminine and well angulated
throughout, a credit to her owner.  Best Veteran.
