No CCs on offer for Bernese

I was thoroughly happy with my entry however many absentees left some classes empty. On the whole I had some lovely examples shown under me and thank you for your entry.

Puppy Dog   Absent

Junior Dog  No entries

Post Graduate Dog  (3 entries)
1st Wright & Kirk's Arvella Mark Of Respect For Roesilbern.
Lots of time for this young lad to mature, however I find he is of good height. Loved his head and eye, excellent neck flowing into well laid shoulders. This boy has good bone, spring of rib and body length is correct. I would like him to have a touch more rear angulation. Today he moved very well, sound coming and going, and put on a nice show. He was handled very well and was very well turned out. Reserve Best Dog.
2nd Connelly's Shirdees Top Gun. I liked this boy however he isn’t big enough for me. That said he is a fantastic mover, very sound coming and going and so shapely when looking at him from a distance. He has a pleasing head, good neck, a little long in the loin, super rear angulation.

Limit Dog  (3 entries, 1 absentee)
1st Hastings' Bernemcourt Liv’n On A Prayer.
A pleasing boy, who again lacks a bit of height for me. That said, he has a lovely head, decent length of neck, very well made front assembly, well ribbed, hard loin. His rear could be better angulated but he has strong hocks and is in good muscular condition. Today he moved very soundly coming and going and didn’t put a foot wrong, a pleasing performance.
2nd Otero Rodrigues & Otero Scutt's Homer De Llobu Astur (Imp Esp). A boy giving is handler a hard time today, it was hot. That said this male was a pleasing exhibit, just needs schooling. He has a lovely head, eye a little loose, good length of neck, strong well placed shoulders. Front was broad and deep. He is of correct length, tail set was bang on. Movement he just needs to settle as was erratic in places, but when I seen him move he was sound. Again I would like him a bit bigger all over.

Open Dog  (2, 1)
1st Bird & Bridges' Ch Kernow Something ShCM.
A lovely Champion, 3.5 years old full of breed type. He has a lovely head and eye, can appear stuffy in neck but he isn’t, best laid shoulders, broad deep chest. Strong bone, neat feet. His length is correct and he has lovely rear quarters, well angulated in stifle and short powerful hocks, tail set is ideal and he carries it well when moving around the ring. Today even in the heat he put on a fab performance, sound coming and going and handled to his advantage. Well done. Best Dog, Best of Breed and Group 4.

Veteran Dog  (2, 1)
1st Wright & Kirk's Materabern Good Friday.
A 7 year old boy who looks excellent for his age. He was full of himself. He has a pleasing head and expression. Tan could be darker, however he is nice to go over, front could be broader and more clean when moving, his rear is much better, still plenty of drive and well angulated. He held a level top line today and put on a great show for a veteran. Best Veteran.

Special Beginners Dog  (1)
1st Connelly's Shirdees Top Gun. Best Special Beginner.

Puppy Bitch  (4, 3)
1st Worrall's Jesterbrook Dragonstone.
An 11 months old very feminine girl, very pretty, and well marked. She is a shapely puppy, with a lovely head and bite. Neck was of correct length, shoulders were well placed, enough rib, body length was correct to her height. Rear was well angulated and she moved soundly. However for me she needs more height, bone and substance. Best Puppy.

Junior Bitch  (3, 2)
1st Worrall's Jesterbrook Dragonstone.

Post Graduate Bitch  (4, 1)
1st Bird & Head's Cullumbern Roman Toga With Millermead JW.
A really lovely bitch, the type I like, shown today in lovely coat and condition. She is beautifully feminine but still looks able to do a days work. Her head is very pretty with great eye, she has enough neck leading into well laid back shoulders. Her chest is broad and deep. She is of correct length to height. Her rear is well angulated and she has strong short hocks. Her tail was carried excellent today, and she moved very sound coming, going and in profile. Reserve Best Bitch.
2nd Harris' Meadowpark Dancin’ On My Own.
A typey bitch larger than 1st, however she gave her handler a hard time today. She is a quality girl who just needs time to mature in furnishings and in body. She has a pretty head, flat skull, nice eye. Her neck was long, super shoulders and front. Longer in body than 1st, well angulated rear. Moved very well when settled, she had a lovely temperament.

Limit Bitch  (4, 2)
1st Miles' Jaybiem Burli Shassi JW.
What a lovely bitch this one is. Never seen her before, ideal size for me, feminine yet strong and full of breed type. I found her head to be very pretty, I would like a smaller ear, her neck and shoulders are spot on. Body length and height were of correct proportions, good bone, wonderful rear angulation. Tail carriage and set is perfect. Now on the move this bitch is fabulous, effortless drive and reach, don’t see that too often. She was so sound, will watch her future with interest. Best Bitch, Best Opposite Sex.
2nd Stelmach & Davis' Chippis She’s a Diamond.
A bitch who was slightly smaller than 1st who was full of herself. No coat on her back leg. She is a well angulated bitch who when settled moved well, has nice bone for her size.

Open Bitch  (5, 2)
1st Miles' Jaybiem My My My JW.
Loved her but what a handful! She has a beautiful head ear and eye. Long neck, great front, correct body proportions, would like more rear angulation in stifle. Top line was excellent, shown in beautiful coat, movement was easy, clean going and coming, a quality bitch. Lost out to her kennel mate as I preferred the movement of Burli Shassi.
2nd Miles' Ch. Meadowpark Sweetest Thing At Jaybiem. A lovely dark marked champion girl. She showed better than 1st in all honesty but as a overall package I preferred My My My. Sweetest thing is a worthy champion, she has beautiful bone for her size, well made throughout, and still a very sound bitch moving effortlessly. 1st has a better head but she still is totally feminine. Thanks for bringing her.
