I should like to thank the Society for giving me the opportunity to judge this wonderful breed
and the exhibitors for  their sportsmanship.

Temperaments were excellent, angulation and movement continues to improve, in the
bitch classes especially there was more quality in depth: breeders are to be congratulated
for the continuing improvement in Bernese over time.  I did note a slight but worrying trend
trend to equate sheer size with quality whereas the reality is that these over-sized dogs are
often coarse and unbalanced. Bites are much improved these days but some dogs had
grubby teeth and that we didn't see years ago.

Veteran Dog or Bitch  (7 entries, 1 absentee)

time to strengthen here.

Graduate Dog   (2)
1st Baldwin's Guiness Record From Christofland To Fortonpark (Imp Cze).
