Whistley Woofers Weekend and Fun Dog Show  27th - 29th May 2017

This letter (copied below) from Tim Williams and Margaret Bailey was accompanied
by a cheque made out to Bernese Welfare UK and was received on 23rd June 2017.

Lots of people selflessly contributed their time and effort to help run and attend the 2017
Whistley Woofers weekend. Sincere and grateful thanks to everyone who helped make
this event such a fun-filled and financial success.  Bernese Welfare UK is very appreciative
of your generosity.

"Whistley Woofers this year went very well and we had a far better attendance that any
previous year. More people camped and it was far better attended by local people and
their dogs (I think social media helped with this). Also the weather was very kind (about
time too!), sometimes too hot but we are not complaining, all the dogs coped with it very
well.

"The event is our best so far, raising £2300. You may be aware Jackie Green sold
pictures that had been donated to her, which she framed and sold very well.

"We also had a bring and buy which was new this year, with some lovely items being
donated and also hand made for the event. Julie Wright took orders for vet bed before
the event and donated the profit to the event. James Connelly made his mouth-watering
cakes. John and Hilary Flippance sourced and took orders for the Whistley Woofers
T-Shirts before the event and those who bought them wore them on the day. This was
a great idea which was discussed at last year's event and added to the total. These are
just a few names who contributed but everyone who attended made a great difference
to the day and the total amount that was made.

"We have a great bunch of friends who all pull together for this event and who all work
hard before, on and after the day who want to raise as much money as possible to help
help Bernese who are less fortunate than our own.

"We are pleased to enclose a cheque for £2500. The extra £200 comes from the profit
made from the sale of the cuddly Bernese."
