Bernese News 15th June 2015

George Wilson, Chairman of the BMD Club of Scotland emailed;

"Our Club committee have put the plans in place and the preparations are well underway in
readiness for our Kelso 2015 Championship Show Weekend.

"Entries for our Championship Show close on 29th June postmark, and details of the
camping plus information about all the other events we have planned for you over that
weekend plus all the relevant booking forms can be found on our Club website

"We all feel humble that so many people travel long distances to attend our events and
support our Club and we thoroughly look forward to seeing friends, both old and new, at
Kelso this year.

"If anyone needs any further information call myself or Club secretary Agnes on 01698
860298 or Email us "

Stine Bøe,President of the Norwegian Bernese Mountain Dog Club emailed;

"Dear friends!

"We'd like to invite you to Norway for two big events in September! On September 5th,
BMD will be judged at the European Dog Show, and last entry deadline is July 1st.
Judges are Peter Montfoort (males) and Terje Lindstrøm (bitches).

"The day after, on September 6th, we'd like to invite you to our specialty show. Judges
are Satu Ylä-Mononen (males) and Helen Davenport (bitches). Entry deadline is August

"We'd like to remind you that winning the CAC at one of these dog shows is enough to qualify
for the Norwegian Champion title if the dog is already a champion. If the dog isn't yet a
champion, the Norwegian CAC will "rest" until the dog receives a title in a different country.
A new rule from 01.01.2015 is also important to make notice of - the CAC will from now on
be handed out to the best dog and best bitch who isn't already a Norwegian champion AND
who doesn't need more CACs for the title (for instance has enough CAC, but not correct
age - this dog will not get more CACs until of proper age).

"We're also planning a social event on the evening of the 5th.
See our site  for more information.
We hope you'll help us spread words about this weekend and welcome you to visit us here
in Norway! Feel free to ask if you should have any questions."
