contacts list appear to have received messages today purporting to be from Janet asking them
for financial assistance.  Janet wants to reassure all her friends that she did not send the

This is of course a well-known and common format of internet scam and all such messages
should NOT be answered and simply deleted.


The Southern BMD Club held their Championship Show last Sunday.  Thank you very much 
Trish Goodyear for sending me a marked catalogue - much appreciated.  

The judge was Terry Munro (Stornum) and he drew 99 exhibits giving 130 entries with 15 absentees,
3 withdrawn and 1 exhibit asked to leave the ring. There were 8 entries Not For Competition.

The Dog CC winner was Bernice Mair, Carole Hartley-Mair and Gary Dybdall's homebred Ch
Meadowpark Vertigo JW who collected his 10th CC plus Best in Show.   21 months old, he is out of Meadowpark Sugar's Diva and is a son of June Miles Ch Jaybiem Utwo JW ShCM who was awarded
the Reserve CC. 7 years old and homebred, he is sired by Jaybiem Cutting H'Edge For Helvetius
x Ch Jaybiem Invu JW.

In Bitches Steve, Jeannette and Emily Green's homebred Waldershelf Happy Hattie won her third
CC and Best Veteran, with the Reserve CC going to Collansues Heart Of Gold.  Owned and bred
by Sue Flanagan, she is 3 1/2 years old and sired by Emberfay My Boy x Collansues Fields of Gold.

Best Puppy was Lynn Atkinson and Lee Reynolds' Meadowpark Secret Blend.  Bred by Bernice and
Carole, he is 10 months old and sired by Tjofselinas Z Diamuz At Fortonpark JW x Meadowpark
Royal Blend.  Congratulations.

And so we have another new Bernese Champion, subject to Kennel Club confirmation.

"Hattie ‘Waldershelf Happy Hattie’ has only really been in the show ring for the last year as she
was only lightly shown at club events prior to this.

"On our recent overseas trip she competed in 5 large open bitch classes in Austria and Italy
including the World Dog Show. She was the oldest in the class and was graded excellent each
time and placed 3 times and shortlisted in the other two classes.

"We are so proud of our lovely girl and special thanks to her handler Karen Bird.
