NORTHERN BMD CLUB OPEN SHOW 14th September 2019

My grateful thanks to this hard working committee for the invitation to judge their club open show held after the main BMD judging at Darlington Championship show. Always a great idea these days killing two birds with one stone and on today's numbers a bonus for both societies .

I thoroughly enjoyed my judging - such a lovely and charming breed who are always so dignified and self assured- needless to say all temperaments where excellent . Type varied but size and good substance I thought very even. No real mouth problems, colour pretty uniform as were marking. Most dogs where sound, some carrying a tad too much weight for my liking but most in great physical condition. Coats generally pretty good. I was very pleased with my main winners all of whom i thought very typical of the breed and of the type i like. Must add the exhibitors where extremely sporting with my decisions. I thought the breed in quite a healthy position and appreciated the entry .
