There had been quite a lot of discussion prior to the show on the topic of the show layout and

Bernese Angel Pin Fundraiser

It had become a longstanding tradition in the USA for Karen Connors and Renee Jacquier to send
out, when requested to do so, a Bernese Angel Pin painted in Bernese colours accompanied by a
card to those who have lost a beloved Bernese.

Many recipients have found comfort in receiving this keepsake gift during their time of grief.

As time has passed, requests from other countries were received by the "Angel Pin" ladies and
they responded by sending a Bernese Angel Pin to whoever they were requested for at ANY
location across the globe. Bernese Angel Pins are now sent worldwide, a truly generous and
thoughtful gesture.

Back in 2010 Jack Hastings (Scotland) received an Angel Pin from the USA and was so touched
that he asked me if I would act as the UK go-between contact making it easier for others in the UK
to request a Bernese Angel Pin for UK Bernese owners who had suffered a loss. I agreed.

I was subsequently contacted by USA "Angel Pin lady" Renee Jacquier and I agreed to be the UK

More information about the Angel Pin Scheme can be found on Bernese News here;

Donations to help offset the cost of providing Bernese Angel Pins are always welcomed by the
Fund caretaker.  The current, approximate cost of a Bernese Angel Pin plus postage sent from the USA
to a UK recipient is $13.75 (approx £10.61 sterling).  The accompanying cards are made and donated by
Carol Ganz.

Anyone wishing to make a donation to the Angel Pin Fund should make cheques (£ sterling is
acceptable) payable to Joye Neff and post to;
Joy Neff (Angel Pin Fund), 108 Minnock Drive, Mars, PA 16046, USA.

An Angel Pin Fundraiser with some super prizes on offer is now in progress and will
continue until 10th October and you are all invited to take part.

Organiser Joye Neff wrote;
"Have you ever received a Berner Angel Pin in loving memory of your Berner who crossed
over to The Rainbow Bridge?  It's a beautiful gift to receive and it brings comfort, and at the same
time tears of sorrow and joy.

"This project is expensive to continue. Last year we spent $5,186.49 the send out Angel Pins to
people all over the world, who lost their Berner.  That is almost £500 per month to sustain this
caring project. As of last week, we have raised $500 in our Angel Pin Fundraiser. That means
that we can support the Angel Pin Project for just one month. We need to raise at least $6,000
with this fundraiser to be able to sustain the project for another year.
WE NEED YOUR DONATIONS!!! We have donations last week from nine people from the
following states: Arizona, California, Maryland, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee and two
donations from Washington State.

"This fundraiser will definitely end on October 10th - that means that there are just a few days left
for us to raise another $5500 for our Angel Pin Project.

"Tickets for the 2016 Angel Pin Fundraiser cost;
Tier One $5 each - 6 for $20 - 20 for $50.
Tier Two - $1 each - 6 for $5 - 40 for $25.

Go to the website   then send me your check/cheque/money order and
include instructions on how I should distribute your tickets among the Tier One and Tier Two
items. Make your checks and cheques payable to Joye M. Neff and mail to me Joye M Neff,
(Angel Pin Fund), 108 Minnock Drive, Mars, PA 16046, USA  and I am pleased to confirm my
bank does not charge me a fee to convert foreign cheques to US dollars, so all of your money
will support the Angel Pin Fund."
